National Minimum Data Set – Social Care (NMDS-SC)
What is it?
NMDS-SC gathers information nationally about the Social Care sector. It will eventually provide a single source of basic information about services and workers that will enable employers to plan their business activity and determine the skills base needed by their workforce.
What are the benefits?
- NMDS-SC will provide reports to employers that will enable informed business decisions to be made
- It will provide employers with their own up to date electronic staff record system
- By undertaking an NMDS-SC establishment and employee return, employers will be eligible for TSI funding support from Skills for Care
- By updating their NMDS-SC workforce data, employers will be able to download all the information CSCI requires for section 2 of the AQAA Self-Assessment Report, in just a few seconds.
- The Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Report provides employers with a detailed analysis of their workers’ qualifications. This will enable employers to meet, and possibly exceed, CSCI minimum training and development standards.
- Engagement with NMDS-SC could help increase an organisation’s star rating, as it demonstrates a professional approach to the management of your business
